Eden Molineux is a speech-language pathologist living in Alberta, Canada with her husband and two little boys. In her work with children and families in preschool and elementary school settings, she has the opportunity to serve and learn from children with a variety of complex communication needs. She also has the pleasure of collaborating with caring teachers to support children in their learning and interactions with others. These experiences have inspired Eden to write the Something to Say collection of children's books in order to help children advocate for themselves and feel pride in their abilities.
When she isn’t doing the speech and language work she loves, Eden enjoys baking, being creative, and watching her boys play hockey.
It is my sincere wish that children and their families will enjoy reading these books together and will feel a connection to the characters and their experiences. I hope readers can gain an increased understanding of speech and language differences, and that educators can use these books in their classrooms to support conversation about diversity and kindness.
Nathalie is a freelance illustrator living in Argentina. She started her working career as a graphic designer in advertising at a time when an illustrator had little to do, as everything was about photos. One day, she decided she had had enough and became a self employed illustrator pursuing her lifelong childhood dream.
Since then she has illustrated many books and magazines from countries all over the world, specializing in children and women oriented graphics. She loves to start her creations the traditional way (pencil and paper) and finish up digitally, mixing techniques such as watercolor, collage, vector drawing and photoshop coloring.
When Eden contacted her for the Something to Say series of books, Nathalie felt particularly involved due to her sensibility towards children with special communication needs and felt she definitely wanted to be a part of this beautiful project.
Nathalie is extremely reliable and responsible when she takes on an assignment. She is represented by Deborah Wolfe Ltd. at IllustrationOnline.com. You can contact her at beauvoisnathalie@gmail.com she will love hearing about your project as well!
